Terms of Service

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Candor
• You must be a resident of the United States
• You can only have one account
• You're responsible for keeping your account secure
• Everything on your profile must be true and about you

When you create a Candor account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information about yourself
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• Not share your account or let others use it
• Not create accounts for anyone other than yourself

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

Candor is for finding genuine connections. You agree to use it respectfully and legally. That means you will not:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, violent, or sexually explicit
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use Candor for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation
• Attempt to scrape, harvest, or collect user data
• Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Interfere with the service or circumvent security measures
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the service
• Spam other users or send unsolicited messages in bulk

We take these rules seriously. Violations may result in immediate account termination.

You own the content you post on Candor (photos, bio, messages). By posting content, you grant us a license to use it to provide the service. This means we can display your profile to other users, store your messages, and so on.

You're responsible for your content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, and don't post anything that violates these terms or the law.

We may remove content that violates our terms, but we're not obligated to monitor everything. If you see something that shouldn't be here, please report it.

We work hard to create a safe environment, but we can't guarantee it. You're responsible for your own safety when using Candor and meeting people you've connected with.

Some common-sense advice:

• Take your time getting to know someone before meeting in person
• Meet in public places for your first few dates
• Tell a friend or family member about your plans
• Trust your instincts; if something feels off, it probably is
• Report suspicious behavior to us immediately

We're not responsible for the actions of other users, but we will do our best to address reported issues promptly.

Candor offers both free and paid features. Here's how payments work:

• Pricing: Our prices are the same for everyone. No age-based pricing, no personalized pricing. The price you see is the price you pay.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime. Your subscription remains active until the end of your billing period.
• Refunds: We generally don't offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you feel you deserve a refund due to service issues, contact us and we'll work it out.
• Price changes: If we change our prices, we'll give you advance notice and the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

We're building Candor with care, but we need to be upfront about some things:

• Candor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We don't guarantee you'll find a match, a date, or a relationship
• We don't verify the identity or background of users
• We're not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by users
• The service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control

We'll always do our best, but we can't promise perfection.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Candor and its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

If you have a dispute with us, we'd prefer to resolve it informally. Contact us first and give us a chance to make it right.

If we can't resolve things informally, any legal disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email before they take effect.

Continuing to use Candor after changes take effect means you accept the new terms. If you don't agree with the changes, you should stop using the service.

You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. We can also terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms or for other reasons at our discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections of these terms that should survive termination (like limitation of liability and disputes) will continue to apply.
